HEART – BRAIN COHERENCE

HEART – BRAIN COHERENCE

Methods to build the bridge between the heart and the brain.

Practice:
Look for a place that is safe, where you can disconnect from the world that is around you. Close your eyes and allow your awareness to move from the world around you to the world within you. To move your awareness from your outer world into your inner world.

Step 1.
Shift Focus.

In the first step shift your focus from your thinking mind to your feeling heart. To help us achieve this, simply touch your heart in a way it’s comfortable for you (with your palms, fingers in the center of your chest...) and allow your awareness to go to the place where you feel that touch. This is the first step and everything we do for the next two steps will reflect this focus. It will all happen as if the focus is coming from the heart. It’s all about the heart.

Step 2.
Shift Breathing.

The key is to exhale for a period of time that is longer than the inhale, the reason for this is because this is a language to the vagus nerve and the parasympathetic nervous system telling your body that you are safe. One way can be, inhale counting to five and exhale counting to 8. Continue to breathe just about that pace or another pace that works for you, breathing slower than you would typically breathe.

Step 3.
Shift feeling.

Feel the feelings of well-being, gratitude, appreciation, care, compassion... These are the kinds of heart base feelings that establish a low frequency link to the human brain. In this step is where we send this very powerful signal from our heart to our brain, 0.1 Hz. that is the same frequency of the magnetic field of Earth. This harmonize Heart, Brain and all the systems in our body, and decrease the stress levels. To make this experience easier and universal for all of us, you can choose to feel gratitude. No matter what’s happening in the world around you, there is always a reason to be grateful.

You only need to do this for three minutes.
